Introducing Laura

Hello, I’m Laura and I’ve just started with Spiral in the newly created position of Client Relationship Manager. They have decided to let me lose on their Twitter and Blog, so you’ll be hearing a lot more from Spiral and me in the near future!

To give you a bit of background on me, I have over 14 years’ experience within sales, business development and building strong client relationships within the public and private sector. I have worked closely with clients such as AstraZeneca, Boots and JCB, understanding their needs and guiding them through projects.

My role at Spiral, will be to build on existing business with clients and look to see how we can assist and work with new organisations across all sectors.

So if you’re planning future brand marketing projects or if you want to know anything further about Spiral, just get in touch. After all it’s good to talk!

Introducing Martin

I¹m Martin and happy to be the new designer here at Spiral. I have over ten years experience in design and advertising. Working with clients such as Renault, Opera North and Kaleidoscope. I'm an all round designer and can take on any creative project across all media.

Outside of work the creativity doesn't stop. I keep busy designing T-shirts and get messy large canvas painting!

The team here at Spiral have made me feel very welcome. Although I seem to be the only one undertaking brewing duties I might need to alter my title from Designer to Tea Boy!

Having settled in well I have been enjoying getting to know our existing client base and will be looking forward to creative ventures with new clientele!

I guess when I retire I will open a 50's décor style dinner with Rock n' Roll on the juke box! A Wam Bama Lama a Wam Bam Boo!

Spiral spectacular

waterspout.png

Some of you may have caught our latest publicity stunt recently, when we were able to exert sufficient influence over atmospheric conditions off the coast of New South Wales in Australia to induce a 'Spiral' waterspout - an impressive 600-metre-tall shaft of water spiralling up from the water's surface and into a bank of clouds above. No mean feat for a humble Leeds-based graphic design agency.

Not really, but we liked it. Although some waterspouts can be described as the aquatic equivalents of a tornado, most are 'non-tornadic', occurring more frequently within 60 miles of the coast than further out at sea, and developing in moisture-laden environments as clouds are in the process of development. That's not to say they can't be harmful though; they can pose a threat to ships and planes, and can devastate nearby coral reefs and marine organisms close to the surface.
